Hey guys, Maddie here,
So today we both found out that we will be lucky enough to attend university. Tayla was lucky enough to get her first preference and will be studying a Bachelor of Communication and Journalism (as a dual degree). I'm very proud of her and all the effort she put into doing what she wants to do *proud little sister feels*. Last year was fairly horrible in terms of my schooling so I didn't get into what I wanted, which was expected, but I was lucky enough to get into a Bachelor of Arts and Secondary Eduction (also a dual degree).
Just to be clear, I have no idea what this little post is actually about. I think most of this will be me rambling along about my excitement and worries for university. So if you aren't interested in that, maybe don't read on!
I'm very pleased that I actually made into the university that I wanted too despite my slightly disappointing results. I still did incredibly well on my high school results, but they were disappointing when compared to what I was expecting. Now that I've got my foot in the door I can get my bearings for a year or so before trying to move into the course that I've always wanted to do for as long as I can remember (Bachelor of Architectural Design).
I'm also really looking forward to meeting many different kinds of people. Whilst I will undoubtedly struggle with initiating conversation/contact I'm sure that when I get there and start to get to know people things will work out for the best. The university that I will be attending has many of my old friends moving down which is also incredibly wonderful! The only downside to this is having people I haven't really gotten along with in the past moving down. This makes me so nervous. Especially considering my old friends are still friends with these people. Hopefully things will just slip into the old ways and we will get along despite our differences.
All in all, I just wanted to make a short little post while I get increasingly confused with time tables and course lists and majors and minors and all that jazz!
Thank you for reading this little piece of my rambling confused mind!
Love, Maddie xxoo
