University Feels #3

Hey there everyone! This is just going be a short post on how I currently feel about university. You can find my previous two posts here and here

We are now entering week 10 at university and I haven't spoken to you lovely people about it since week 2. I'm basically just a big jumble of feelings right now and university is definitely a main concern of mine. To keep things short, I'm really not enjoying my course. As some of you may remember I'm studying a dual degree in secondary education and arts. I only really like one of my four subjects, two of those being education (which I hate),  one is literary classics (which could be worse but is very difficult) and one is drama which is fantastic.

Because of this, I'm a little unsure of where I should be going or what I should be doing. I have no idea what I want to be doing as an adult and i have no idea what other university courses really interest me (other than drama, but I'd really love to have more options!). I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually but feeling confused and lost all the time is starting to get a little annoying.

I am almost positive that I'm going to drop out at the end of this year (depending on how much I end up enjoying the course) as I need to have an operation which requires six months off anyway- I think this would be the perfect time to think about what I want to do in the future, what I want to try and do, and to look at all my options.

For now I'm just battling through the sea of assessments and exams and hoping for the best. Trying to get motivated to do work for subjects you hate is very aggravating, but I'm getting there!

That's it for this short update!
Thanks for reading, love Maddie x

  3. I feel for you so much, I have such an awful semester right now I don't really enjoy any of my classes and the one I did like a bit I'm not doing well in so that's discouraging. But I know the classes I have next semester are going to be so much better so that's pretty much all that's keeping me going, I hope your classes next semester will be better too!

    1. I'm sad to hear that's this semester has been awful for you! Though it's lovely to see that you're feeling wonderfully positive for next semester! I'm still unsure on if I will continue next semester but if I do I'm sure they will be xx
