Honestly, this was insanely difficult due to the fact that every night is movie night in my eyes, so compacting all my favourites down into a teeny tiny list of 50 was almost excruciating. I had to leave a lot of loves out, and this list isn't by any means a list of my favourites; it's a list of movies I think everyone should take the time to watch. Most are quite cliche and slip into pop culture, so there will be a lot of films a majority of you will recognise and love. This list will be in no particular order, nor is it separated into genres. Here we go:
- Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2
- Pulp Fiction
- Inglorious Basterds
- Django Unchained
- Moonrise Kingdom
- The Grand Budapest Hotel
- The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
- Rushmore
- The Royal Tenenbaums
- Heathers
- American Psycho
- Submarine
- The Virgin Suicides
- Girl, Interrupted
- Donnie Darko
- Leon the Professional
- Lara Croft Tomb Raider
- The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift
- Salt
- 50/50
- Wayne's World
- Bring it on
- Scott Pilgrim VS. The World
- Back to the Future trilogy
- Napoleon Dynamite
- Star Wars series (Personally Ep. IV is my favourite)
- The Land Before Time
- The Lord of the Rings trilogy
- Harry Potter series
- James Bond films
- Matrix Trilogy
- Marie Antoinette (Sofia Coppola)
- Indiana Jones Series
- Sin City
- Blade Runner
- Wanted
- Mr. & Mrs. Smith
- Star Trek & Star Trek: Into Darkness
- 10 Things I Hate About You
- Ferris Bueller's Day Off
- The Breakfast Club
- It's Kind of a Funny Story
- Cry Baby
- Footloose
- Dirty Dancing
- Charlie's Angels
- Looper
- The Tourist
- Inception
- X-Men Series
That's it... that's my own personal 50 must sees... if you have any comments or questions about any of the films don't be afraid to ask! Discussing films is probably one of my favourite things to do so I'm always up for it. I'll also be posting soon discussing in more depth a few of my favourite films/directors/series and why so keep an eye out for that! Hope you're all doing well!
Love from Tayla x
Wow Tayla your list is wonderful! I'm a huge Wes Anderson fan, and sci-fi movies are also brilliant (cough, cough, the Matrix Trilogy!) I started to watch Pulp Fiction and it is just amazing - Tarantino is truly gifted! Also Napoleon Dynamite - absolute gold! Just curious, what is your favourite movie? (you have an awesome selection here!)

Hey Georgia! Tarantino is definitely exceptionally gifted! I honestly could not pick just one favourite film... but my favourite directors are definitely Anderson and Tarantino! xx
DeleteI would definitely have to agree with you on that Tayla! If you ever need any posting suggestions, a favourite directors post would be awesome :)
