50 Movie Musts

Hey guys! Like books, my family are avid movie watchers... we hoard DVDs like they are going out of fashion. You name a genre, and we probably have a movie that slips into it. I've grown up surrounded by my mothers mystery and thrillers, and my dads science fiction, action and fantasy films. I thought it was time I compiled a list of my top 50 must sees.

Honestly, this was insanely difficult due to the fact that every night is movie night in my eyes, so compacting all my favourites down into a teeny tiny list of 50 was almost excruciating. I had to leave a lot of loves out, and this list isn't by any means a list of my favourites; it's a list of movies I think everyone should take the time to watch. Most are quite cliche and slip into pop culture, so there will be a lot of films a majority of you will recognise and love. This list will be in no particular order, nor is it separated into genres. Here we go:

  1. Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2
  2. Pulp Fiction
  3. Inglorious Basterds
  4. Django Unchained
  5. Moonrise Kingdom
  6. The Grand Budapest Hotel

  22. Bring it on
  23. Scott Pilgrim VS. The World
  24. Back to the Future trilogy
  25. Napoleon Dynamite
  26. Star Wars series (Personally Ep. IV is my favourite)
  27. The Land Before Time
  28. The Lord of the Rings trilogy
  29. Harry Potter series

  46. Charlie's Angels
  47. Looper
  48. The Tourist
  49. Inception
  50. X-Men Series

That's it... that's my own personal 50 must sees... if you have any comments or questions about any of the films don't be afraid to ask! Discussing films is probably one of my favourite things to do so I'm always up for it. I'll also be posting soon discussing in more depth a few of my favourite films/directors/series and why so keep an eye out for that! Hope you're all doing well!

Love from Tayla x

  1. Wow Tayla your list is wonderful! I'm a huge Wes Anderson fan, and sci-fi movies are also brilliant (cough, cough, the Matrix Trilogy!) I started to watch Pulp Fiction and it is just amazing - Tarantino is truly gifted! Also Napoleon Dynamite - absolute gold! Just curious, what is your favourite movie? (you have an awesome selection here!)

    1. Hey Georgia! Tarantino is definitely exceptionally gifted! I honestly could not pick just one favourite film... but my favourite directors are definitely Anderson and Tarantino! xx

    2. I would definitely have to agree with you on that Tayla! If you ever need any posting suggestions, a favourite directors post would be awesome :)
